PRESS RELEASE INFO:
Although it's been over two years since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region, thousands of families remain displaced, living in substandard conditions and wondering when they can begin the long process of rebuilding their lives. The Nashville community has stepped forward to lend a hand and a hammer by building a "Home-in-a-Box" as part of Habitat for Humanity's program. On Tuesday, October 30th, one hundred-plus community volunteers will meet at the Texas Roadhouse at 1039 Glenbrook Way in Hendersonville, TN, to build, frame, outfit and ship a 1,100 square-foot house to a housing development called Musician's Village in New Orleans.

The Homes-in-a-Box program, an initiative between Texas Roadhouse and Habitat for Humanity, unites Texas Roadhouse employees with community volunteers to fund, frame, outfit and ship 1,300-square-foot homes to the Gulf Coast.

I hosted a Beatles jam at Lyrix Cafe in Nashville on Sat, Aug 18, and it was a hell of a good time.

Friends who joined in include Ted Larkin, Kevin and Donna Frazier of The Other Band, John Haring of Nashville Independent Music, Bruce-jon Brigham and Julie Grower. My son Devon and ex-husband James even joined in. Beatle-rrrific!
download.com
Mar 1, 2007
if you have some spare time, and haven't scoped out download.com, here's your chance.
it replaced the original mp3.com, and I have a page on it:
music.download.com/leequick

so if you visit the page, and want to give me a good rating, I'd appreciate it mightily. (i have thousands of plays, but only have 2 votes so far... not outstanding...)

besides music, there's games and all kinds of crap on the site too, mostly for free, I think.

enjoy...

Americana Tonight
Jan 4, 2007
hey folks, thanks for supporting me!

My audition for the "Americana Tonight" show on January 3rd at Douglas Corner went really well.
And extra special thanks to James Bass on fiddle and Lisa Horngren on bass for being totally awesome at short notice.
I hope to see you at the next show.
Do You Think... again?
Oct 26, 2006
I'm sending this message out to all who bought my CD, "Do You Think?" First I'll say I really appreciate that you bought it, and I hope you like it.

This is an unusual thing, but I'd like to invite you to give me some feedback. Since the original recordings of this album were drowned in New Orleans, and because I lost a lot of CDs in my house -- and because it has a dopey cover -- I'd like to re-record many of the songs and reissue the CD. Now is the time to let me know what you think. Really.

Any suggestions? If you like something, please let me know. And if there's something you don't like, now's your chance to influence "Do You Think" version 2.0. Thanks!

p.s. A couple of the songs have received slight lyrical re-writes, including Bored To Hell, Tell Me, and In This World. If you want to know, just say so and I'll send you copies of the new lyrics.
